Peach Cobbler

Jersey Peaches at roadside market so time to make Peach Cobbler. Mo helped and put the sugar in the batter instead of mixing it with the peaches. I must say she was quite impressive peeling the peaches! Love when the girls help me in the kitchen though it doesn't happen often. Will be missing them in September, the girls - not the peaches ;)

Bisquick Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

2 cups Original Bisquick

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup butter or margarine, melted

2 cups sugar

4 cups of fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar

Directions:

Heat oven to 375

Stir together peaches and sugar in a bowl - add a couple shakes of cinnamon.

In an ungreased (12 x 10 x 2) baking dish, stir together Bisquick, milk. Nutmeg and butter until blended.

Spoon the sugared peaches over the batter.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Hydrangeas

"Together" Hydrangeas from the Forever and Ever series - planted today.

Some of my established Hydrangeas in bloom.

A morning visitor to the garden soon joined by a friend!

As usual the plants at Lowe's had crisp and drooping leaves, but at less than 10 each, I had to snatch 3 of these little hopefuls up to plant along the fence. I have heard some great things about them and as my other hydrangeas have finally come into their own this year, I am looking forward to see if these live up to the hype. Supposed to reach only 2 ft high by 2 feet wide and have 8 inch wide mophead flowers.
